webs.st ("we", "us") operates a subdomain registry with DNS management, optional email forwarding and dynamic DNS. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact: privacy@webs.st.
To provide the service you purchased (contract); to keep the platform secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests); to take payment and meet tax/accounting duties (legal obligation). We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Payments are handled by Stripe as merchant of record. When you check out, Stripe collects and processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). We receive only confirmation of payment and limited metadata (amount, status, session id).
If enabled, mail sent to your subdomain passes through our servers to your nominated address. We relay messages for delivery only; we do not read, retain or profile message content beyond what is needed to deliver it.
We share data only with processors that run the service (e.g. Stripe for payments, our hosting/DNS infrastructure), and where required by law or a valid legal request. Minimal registrant contact data may be held by the relevant TLD registry. We do not otherwise disclose your data.
Account and DNS data are kept while your subdomain is active and for a short period after expiry to allow renewal. Security logs are kept short-term. Payment/accounting records are kept as long as the law requires.
Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and may object to certain processing. Email privacy@webs.st. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
The site uses only strictly necessary cookies/local state needed to operate checkout and your session. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here or emailed. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
